Everett man is Housing Hope’s Volunteer of the Year

At a recent volunteer and donor appreciation event, Housing Hope honored Everett resident Randy Laswell as its top Volunteer of the Year.

Laswell, an instructional designer, helped the nonprofit develop online training tools for a program that helps staff understand and respond to the effects of trauma.

“Overall, these training modules are valued at over $100,000, and Randy is providing them for free. This is a wonderful gift that will advance our trauma-informed work tremendously,” said Fred Safstrom, CEO of Housing Hope.

It was one highlight in the past fiscal year, in which Housing Hope volunteers gave 4,833 hours of time, worth a value of over $147,000, the nonprofit reported.
