The Kiwanis Club of Snohomish recently donated $5,000 to The Bridge Receiving Center of Lake Stevens, which aims to help house children as they enter the foster care system.

The Bridge is an operating partnership between Overlake Christian Church, Olive Crest and Cedar Springs Camp. When it opens in 2019, the remodeled house off Highway 92 in Lake Stevens will provide a camp-like setting for children for up to 30 days as they wait on foster family placement or to return to their families.
