EVERETT — Republic Parking System will manage paid parking and curbside services at the new passenger terminal at Paine Field, Propeller Airports announced Monday.

Republic considers airport parking a specialty and already fills a similar role at three other Washington airports. Republic says it manages parking at more than 70 U.S. airports in 29 states. It also has a large presence managing other parking lots in the metropolitan Seattle area.

Republic has a five-year agreement with Propeller Airports, which is building and will manage the passenger terminal under a lease agreement with Paine Field’s owner, Snohomish County.

Pending federal approval, three airlines — Alaska, United and Southwest — are expected to serve Everett with 24 daily passenger flights to 10 cities starting early in 2019.

The terminal building is nearing completion adjacent to the control tower on the east side of the airport. Republic and other service providers are beginning to fill some 300 jobs.

Propeller and the county are planning for about 1,100 parking spaces at the airport.
