Motor Trucks in Everett earns Hire-A-Vet Award

Motor Trucks in Everett on Nov. 8 was honored with the Hire-A-Vet Award from the Washington Employment Security Department for its practice of hiring veterans.

The diesel repair and truck sales company employs 32 people, of whom six are veterans — 20 percent of the company’s workforce. In 2018, Motor Trucks added two new veteran employees to its team. The company coordinates all its veteran recruitment through WorkSource and the state’s YesVets program, and aims to instill a culture of “veterans helping other veterans.”
