Man hit by cars, killed trying to cross I-5 near Stanwood

STANWOOD — A 35-year-old Stanwood man died Sunday after being hit by several vehicles while running across I-5.

Brian Cooper tried to run across the southbound lanes around 6 p.m., about 8 miles northeast of Stanwood, the Washington State Patrol said.

None of the drivers were injured.
