Providence could donate parking revenue to homeless charity

Regarding Providence Regional Medical Center’s planning to charge a parking day rate of $4 for patients and visitors, I understand to a point, however, officials indicate that the goal is: “not to generate additional revenue for a profit.” Why not, then, donated this additional money to a charity that could help the homeless?
Now as as far as your employees are concerned, I think that they have a legitimate concern of being charged for parking. Here again, use some of these proposed $4 charges to pay for the employees’ parking.
