EVERETT — On Friday, two key Snohomish County officials participated in a video interview to discuss the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the response in Snohomish County.

Dr. Chris Spitters, the chief health officer of the Snohomish Health District, and county Executive Dave Somers were interviewed by Daily Herald reporter Joey Thompson.

Topics they discussed included:

• Rising hospitalization and death rates.

• Outbreaks at long-term care homes.

• How people are getting COVID and where.

• And the vaccine’s phased rollout — when people should expect it to be widely available and when we might return to pre-pandemic normal.
