EVERETT — Dustin Wolf’s blistering start to the WHL season continues.

The Everett Silvertips goalie stopped all 30 shots he faced and earned his third straight shutout to open the season in a 3-0 win over the Tri-City Americans on Wednesday night at Angel of the Winds Arena.

Jacob Wright opened the scoring with his second goal of the season on a power play in the first period.

Ben Hemmerling and Cole Fonstad each added a goal in the second period as Everett (3-0-0-0) went into the intermission with a 3-0 lead.

The goals were the first of the season for both Hemmerling and Fonstad.

Talyn Boyko stopped 18 of 21 shots for the Americans (1-2-0-0).

Everett next plays at Portland at 5 p.m. on Friday evening.
