Man critically injured in Arlington bar parking lot crash

ARLINGTON — A man was hospitalized late Friday after he was hit by a vehicle in a restaurant parking lot, according to Arlington police.
The victim suffered a “critical head injury” when the vehicle struck him while backing out of a parking stall at The Point Bar & Grill on 168th Street Northeast near Smokey Point Boulevard, the Arlington Police Department said in a post to its Facebook page.
The incident happened at about 10:5o p.m., according to the post.
The driver, a 21-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault and driving under the influence, police said.
First responders from Arlington Fire Department took the victim to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
The driver stayed in the parking lot after the collision, police said.
