Indians snap AquaSox’s 8-game win streak

SPOKANE — The Spokane Indians scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to break open a tie game and hung on to beat Everett, 5-2, on Tuesday night, snapping the AquaSox’s eight-game win streak.

After scoring 20 runs on 19 hits in a win over Tri-City on Sunday, the AquaSox’s offense was held to just two runs on six hits by Spokane.

Jack Larsen went 2-for-4 with a home run and a double to lead the Everett (10-3) offense. Larsen raised his average to .395 on the season.

Matt Brash started and struck out five over 3.2 scoreless innings for the AquaSox. Brash walked four and allowed two hits.

Niko Decolati and Willie MacIver each homered in the decisive seventh inning for Spokane (3-10).

The game was the first of a six-game series between the two teams.
