The warm weather continued, but it wasn’t nearly as brutal as Monday’s record highs. A layer of marine air pushed into Western Washington, bringing relief to many.

Monday’s heat was one for the record books, with many places in Snohomish County hitting triple digits.

But more hot weather is in store for the foreseeable future, the National Weather Service says.

The forecast shows the mercury will reach the mid- to high 80s through the next week. Nights will be cooler than they have been, going down to the 60s in most places.
