Everett driver dies in crash; Rucker Avenue closed for hours

EVERETT — A man died Tuesday morning in a crash in Everett.

He was driving south in a white Nissan Frontier around 7:20 a.m. in the 4100 block of Rucker Avenue when he took a left turn. Another driver, in a green Nissan Pathfinder, was going north at a high speed when he crashed into the Frontier, according to Everett police.

Responders provided medical aid to the victim, who died at the scene of the crash.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the man and determine his cause and manner of death. He was believed to be in his 40s.

The Pathfinder driver, 35, of Bothell, did not appear seriously injured. He was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. His medical condition was unknown Tuesday afternoon.

Northbound lanes of Rucker Avenue were closed for about four hours Tuesday morning.
