LYNNWOOD — A 17-year-old Snohomish boy was left in critical condition after a fight near Alderwood mall on Sunday night, police say.

The boy was with two relatives just before 7 p.m. when a group of five teens and young adults approached them in the parking garage, according to Lynnwood police.

A fight ensued, in which the Snohomish boy suffered “grave injuries,” according to police. The 17-year-old was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Detectives were working with mall security Monday to get photos of the suspects, who reportedly fled. Lynnwood police say they plan to release those images to the public.
