At least 1 serious injury in head-on crash on Highway 532 in Stanwood

STANWOOD — At least one person suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash Monday afternoon on Highway 532 near the Haggen grocery store in Stanwood, according to Washington State Patrol.

State troopers had blocked off the highway around 4 p.m. near milepost 6, Washington State Patrol Trooper Jacob Kennett said. Troopers were in the process of creating a detour.

Kennett asked that people avoid the area of the crash, as the road will likely be closed for an extended period of time.
