Bothell man being investigated for murder in death of his father

BOTHELL — A 35-year-old man was arrested Friday for investigation of second-degree murder in the death of his father, Bothell police said.

At about 6 a.m. Friday, a neighbor called to report a man, 72, was injured after his son physically assaulted him and hit him with an object, police said.

Police and fire units were dispatched to the the 3200 block of 211th Street Southeast. The 72-year-old man was dead at the scene.

The suspect was booked into the Snohomish County Jail.

The investigation was ongoing, police said.
