EDMONDS — Firefighters around Snohomish County gathered in solemn remembrance Sunday on the 21st anniversary of 9/11.
Fire stations in Arlington, Edmonds and Stanwood, as well as the civic center in Marysville, hosted public memorials for the nearly 3,000 people killed in terrorist attacks.
Former New York firefighter Andy Speier, who searched for survivors at Ground Zero, spoke to the crowd in Edmonds about his experiences.
