Person found dead in burnt semi truck in Everett

EVERETT — A person was found dead inside a semi truck after a fire in south Everett on Tuesday evening, police said.

Just after 5 p.m., witnesses reported the semi truck was on fire in the 1200 block of 108th Street SW, said Everett police officer Ora Hamel. Fire crews extinguished the fire and found a person dead inside.

On Wednesday morning, the age and sex of the deceased was unclear. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased as well as determine the cause and manner of death.

Police were investigating the origins of the fire.
