EVERETT — Northbound I-5 traffic could see slowdowns overnight over the next two weeks in Everett.

Crews contracted by the state Department of Transportation are set to close lanes from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Thursday and Tuesday, Feb. 21, through Thursday, Feb. 23.

At least one lane will remain open during the work from Lowell Road to the Snohomish River Bridge in Everett.

If temperatures drop below freezing, the work and lane reductions could be delayed.

The closures are necessary for crews to grind the right two lanes so new concrete panels match the old ones for a smooth surface.
