SNOHOMISH — Some 75-plus homes can drink their water as usual again after the city lifted its advisory to boil tap water in place since late January.

The city first issued the notice Jan. 30 after a water main broke and affected service for about 75 homes. That was fixed quickly but another break in the same line later prompted another warning.

Both were considered proactive and not in response to contamination, according to city officials.

Repairs were made to the water line along OK Mill and S Carpenter roads, which restored system pressure to keep out contamination, according to a city news release sent Saturday.
