MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Four armed people broke into a home occupied by a family of four early Monday, in search of valuables and electronics.

Officers were searching for a blue BMW convertible that was stolen from the scene around 5:45 a.m. Monday, near the Forest Crest Playfield Complex on 236th Street SW in Mountlake Terrace, police said.

Two adults and two children were in the home, Cmdr. Scott King said. Nobody in the family was hurt.

“There is no known connection between the victims and the suspects,” King said in a written statement. “This was a traumatic event for the family, and out of respect for their privacy we aren’t releasing a more precise location at this time.”

The home invaders fled in two vehicles. One was the victims’ 2011 blue two-door hardtop BMW.

“The car has a metal Seahawks emblem on the back, along with metal decorative text that reads ‘TWEEZER,’” according to Mountlake Terrace police.

The other vehicle was unknown.

Police continued to investigate Monday.
