LAKE STEVENS — The Vikings had to take down a tough Timberwolves team on Friday night to usurp Mariner for the league’s final district playoff spot. They did just that, earning a narrow win to move into fourth place at 8-12 overall and 5-6 in league play. Brody Peirpoint led the Vikings with 20 points, while Brian Tilghman added 14. For the Timberwolves, Jackson Rabe hit six 3-pointers, including five in the third quarter, to compile 18 points. Seamus Williams (16) and Mason Engen (10) also scored in double figures for Jackson.

Glacier Peak 71, Mariner 43

SNOHOMISH — The Grizzlies rolled to another league win to improve to 17-2 (11-0 league). The loss pushed the Marauders, who held the final district berth in the league with their fourth-place standing heading into the night, to fifth place. No individual stats were reported.

Stanwood 51, Lynnwood 49

STANWOOD — The Spartans (6-15) won a tight play-in game against the Royals (4-17) to keep their hopes of a district playoff berth alive. Stanwood will play Meadowdale for a spot in districts on Monday night while the loss marks the end of Lynnwood’s season. No individual stats were reported.

Marysville Getchell 57, Snohomish 46

SNOHOMISH — The Chargers (14-6, 8-2) ended their regular season with a solid win powered by senior Bubba Palacol’s 25 points. Snohomish’s Luke Davis and Bryson Wheat each had 13 points as the Panthers fell to 7-13 and 4-6 to close the regular season.

Tulalip Heritage 69, Grace Academy 27

MARYSVILLE — The No. 2-seeded Hawks rolled to a 42-point win over the No. 7-seeded Eagles to open their district playoff run. Freshman Deveyon Wells had a game-high 17 points as his team caused havoc on the other end with 15 steals. Sophomore Caleb Struiksma had a team-high seven points for the Eagles. Tulalip Heritage (17-1) will take on Providence Classical Christian in the semifinals on Saturday while Grace Academy (5-11) will face Darrington in a loser-out game.

Northwest

Lakewood 55, Anacortes 48

ARLINGTON — The Cougars (15-5, 11-3) saved their best for last, winning the fourth quarter 22-14 to take down the Seahawks (12-8, 8-7). Lakewood senior Nash Espe scored all of his 13 points in the final frame while junior Caleb Greenland had a game-high 22. Anacortes junior Micah Dickison posted a team-high 13 points in the loss.
