EVERETT — Everett Fire Department evacuated four people and a dog from a boat fire Friday morning at the Everett Marina fuel dock. Two subjects are being evaluated for smoke inhalation.
As of 10:25 a.m. Friday, fire crews remain at the scene to watch for hotspots and prevent any rekindling. The 32-foot boat carried 300 gallons of fuel. There is no apparent fuel leak or spill, according to a post on the fire department’s Facebook. The Department of Ecology and Coast Guard are enroute to assess.
The fuel dock sustained some damage, which needs to be assessed. Until further notice, the Port of Everett closed the fuel dock. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
