Monroe shooting sends one person to the hospital on Friday

EVERETT — One person arrived at EvergreenHealth Monroe with a gunshot wound Friday night after a shooting at Skykomish River Park in Monroe.
Around 8:30 p.m. Friday, officers responded to reports of a gunshot victim arriving at EvergreenHealth Monroe seeking treatment, a Monroe Police Department social media post said. Upon investigation of the victim’s vehicle, officers found multiple bullet holes, some of which penetrated the vehicle’s interior.
The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, the post said.
Officers believe the suspect and victim knew each other, and a confrontation allegedly led to the shooting, the post said.
