Evergreen State Fair Park is hoping to spark holiday cheer

EVERETT — The Evergreen State Fair Park is hoping to spark holiday cheer with a free four-day event starting Dec. 4, a press release said.
Holiday Spark at the Evergreen State Fair Park will be open 5-8 p.m. on Dec. 4-5, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 6, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 7 in Monroe. The event will include several free activities, including live music, bingo with prizes, costumed characters, crafting, dancing and more.
For-purchase activities include pony rides, food and drink, bouncy houses and s’more roasting kits. A beer and wine garden will be open 5-8 p.m. Dec. 4-5, 1-8 p.m. Dec. 6 and noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 7.
Igloos that can fit six people comfortably are available for rent at $60 for 75 minutes. Outside food and activities are allowed but alcohol is not permitted outside the designated beer/wine garden.
Skykomish Valley Indian Education will sell fry bread with toppings and provide other holiday activities.
“We are excited to open up the fairgrounds for people to have fun, support local businesses, and spread some holiday cheer!” said Mike Ohlsen, Evergreen State Fair Park manager, in the release.
