1 man dead after crash Sunday in Granite Falls

EVERETT — One man died after a single-vehicle crash into a ditch Sunday in Granite Falls.
Around 2:31 p.m. Sunday, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a vehicle that left the roadway and was in a ditch in the 15600 block of Green Mountain Road, according to a sheriff’s office social media post. First responders pronounced the 73-year-old driver deceased at the scene.
The Collision Investigation Unit found no indications that other vehicles or individuals were involved and is investigating the circumstances of the collision. At this time, investigators believe a medical event is a possible contributing factor, the post said.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death and identify the victim, the post said.
