EVERETT — No bomb was located after law enforcement evacuated Darrington elementary and high schools Tuesday afternoon for around two hours “out of an abundance of caution.”

Just after noon Tuesday, the Darrington School District received a phone call from an automated voice making a bomb threat, according to a Darrington Police Department social media post. A Washington State Patrol bomb technician responded.

Students and staff were evacuated to the Darrington Community Center, according to a Darrington School District announcement.

Around 2:30 p.m., the bomb technician cleared the schools after nothing was located, an updated post said.
