Share World’s Fair memories

Herald reporter Gale Fiege wants to talk with people 55 and older who attended the Century 21 Exposition, otherwise known as the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair.

If you went to the fair and live in Snohomish or Island counties and have an interesting memory or photo of the event 50 years ago, please send Fiege an email at gfiege@heraldnet.com with your contact information.

If you do not have access to email, call 425-339-3427.

Support Special Olympics: Edmonds police officers are inviting people to dine at Claim Jumper Restaurant in Lynnwood from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday to support Special Olympics. Off-duty police officers will be waiting tables as part of the annual Tip-A-Cop fundraising campaign to benefit special athletes. All tips provided to the officers serving meals Thursday evening will go directly to Washington state’s Special Olympics Program.

The Claim Jumper Restaurant is located at 18725 33rd Ave. W., Lynnwood.
