The Lake Stevens guard scored a team-high 20 points in a win over Arlington and hit the game-winning 17-foot shot with 1 second remaining as the Vikings beat Monroe 68-67 to remain in a tie for second place in the Wesco North.

Stanwood | Girls basketball

The Spartans senior guard finished with 21 points, including eight in a pivotal second quarter, in a 52-34 win over Marysville Pilchuck, three days after scoring 18 points ina 65-40 triumph over Monroe.

The Eagles 160-pound grappler won by pin and technical fall in both of his matches last week in Arlington’s close victories over Lakewood and Granite Falls.

Kamiak | Boys swimming

The Knights swimmer won the 200 individual medley, 100 backstroke and the 400 freestyle relay as Kamiak swept Lynnwood, Meadowdale and Monroe in a meet last Tuesday.
