Repurpose your bottle caps into a piece of public art in Edmonds

Here’s one way to reduce that guilt about drinking too much beer and soda pop: recycle those bottle caps into a piece of public art.
A community art project in Edmonds is being led by Seattle artist Marita Dingus and presented by the
Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation and the City of Edmonds Arts Commission.
The project will be done in three workshops where Dingus will lead groups in hands-on art making. Dingus will be working with the public to create a sculptural piece constructed with reused bottle caps and other materials to decorate the city fence outside of the Artworks building in Edmonds.
So bring your bottle caps and be ready to go to work.
The workshops will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct 10, 3 to 7 p.m. Oct. 12 and 2 to 5 p.m. Oct 15 at ArtWorks, 201 Second Ave. S., Edmonds.
From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 15, a reception for the installation of the fence sculpture is scheduled at ArtWorks. For information call 425-771-0228.
The community art project is part of the month-long regional celebration of arts called Arts Crush.
