We should listen to experts in Iraq

With all due respect to Rep. John Murtha – and thanks for his service – I have to say that the people we should be focusing on taking advice from are in Iraq right now.
My Army veteran father and Marine veteran brother-in-law agree that they are the opinions the media should be focusing on.
I’ve seen a lot of armchair quarterbacks writing in lately. It’s easy to blab about what you would do, being as you personally would not be accountable either way. You think it’s that easy to run the greatest country?
When I voted for this president, a friend said, “But the Democrats are for the little people.” Lately when we’ve talked she’s not so sure about that being true as our home state has some of the highest taxes in the nation.
I call the White House hotline every so often, to let the president know he has my support and prayers.
Finally, I’d like to thank the Jeffrey Starr family and all the other families of our fallen heroes. We couldn’t be the greatest country without these brave heroes.
Our family agrees that the star that’s shone so bright this holiday season is Jeffrey Starr.
