Let’s avoid headlines about huge fires

In its May 19 editorial, The Herald mentioned that a key point regarding Everett Fire Station 3 is there have only been five boat fires in our marina in the last four years.

Imagine what the damage may have been if we did not have Station 3 so close to ensure these did not turn into major incidents!

These did not make major headlines like the marina fires last year in Seattle because of quick response by the Station 3 crew limiting these to only a single boat fire.

No one wants a multi-million dollar “we told you so!”
