Regret the error

Mistakes were made: CBS News is walking back a “60 Minutes” report on the September 2012 attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, after other media outlets’ reporting cast revealed that the dramatic tale of derring-do told by the story’s primary source was horse puckey.

Dan Rather, who was purged by CBS under somewhat similar circumstances, must now be wearing a smile that’s wider than a Texan’s midsection after all-you-can-eat night at Joe’s House of BBQ.

Gobble, gobble, burp, burp: A New Hampshire farmer says that daily feedings of beer result in bigger, tastier turkeys on the Thanksgiving table.

The Buzz’ question is this: Does the steady diet of brewskis make white meat, dark meat or just great big sloppy beer bellies?

Fill ‘er up: Gas prices have dropped to the lowest level since 2011, and have dipped below $3 a gallon at some locations in the Everett area.

With gas that cheap, will we soon be hearing calls for General Motors to bring back the Hummer?
