The Port Gardner Vintage Auto Club presented checks to 11 organizations at its Feb. 14 meeting. Proceeds came from the annual Arlington Drag Strip Reunion and Car Show, held in September at the Arlington Airport. The car club hosted the event, which each year attracts about 300 cars and retired dragsters as well as over 1,000 spectators.

Groups benefiting from the proceeds: Arlington Boys and Girls Club, Arlington Food Bank, Burned Children Recovery Foundation, Cocoon House, The Hope Project, Marysville Food Bank, Marysville Pilchuck High School’s automotive technician training program, North Cascades Concert Band, North Everett Boys and Girls Club, Animal Rescue Foundation, Everett Firefighter’s Association.

The car club does not publicly disclose the amount of individual awards.
