Concert presales: Lily Allen, Franz Ferdinand, Flight of the Conchords

We have a British Invasion at the ticket booth this week, with the charge led by Lily Allen.

The last time Allen tried to tour the states, she was denied a visa. Now, she’s staging a right proper jaunt across the continent in support of her pretty great new album, “It’s Not Me, It’s You,” out Tuesday.

Franz Ferdinand rides in behind Allen as the calvary. The group actually hails from Scotland, and is touring behind its reliably dancey new album, “Tonight: Franz Ferdinand.”

And there, staging a flanking maneuver, its Flight of the Conchords. You probably know that group, thanks to its HBO series. You may say, “But those guys are from New Zealand, not Britain.” I say, “Noted, but New Zealand’s monarch is Elizabeth II.” Flight of the Conchords is on Seattle’s Sub Pop Records. The group will play a two-night stand at the Paramount Theatre.

This is all without even making note of the Kills (British guitarist) and Travis (Scottish band).

To balance out all those UK acts, I tossed in info on some country shows. We’ve got Merle Haggard with Kris Kristofferson, for instance, and Jason Aldean. Aldean’s a country star, apparently, and he’s playing a rodeo. That smells like America to me.

  • Lily Allen, at the Showbox SoDo, Seattle, presale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, $25. Sorry, no password yet. If you’ve got it, toss it in the comments section. Tickets for the April 6 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.
  • Franz Ferdinand, at the Paramount Theatre, Seattle, presale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, $32.50. Password is “stg.” I’m guessing tickets for the April 13 show go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday, but can’t find the specific time. So use the presale.
  • Flight of the Conchords, at the Paramount Theatre, Seattle, presale from now to 8 p.m. Friday, $35.50. Password is “sugalumps.” Again, I can’t find when tickets for the May 11 and May 12 shows go on sale to the general public, but I’m guessing its 10 a.m. Saturday.
  • Travis, at the Showbox at the Market, Seattle, presale from 10 a.m. today to 10 p.m. Friday, $25. Password is “stg”. Tickets for the April 5 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.
  • Merle Haggard and Kris Kristofferson, at the Paramount Theatre, Seattle, presale from 10 a.m. Thursday to 10 p.m. Friday, $45 to $65. Password is “stg.” Tickets for the April 3 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.
  • Jason Aldean, at the Puyallup Fair, presale from now to 9 a.m. Saturday, $20 to $40. Password is rodeo. Tickets for the April 6 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.
  • Also going on sale:

  • The Kills, at Neumos, Seattle, $15.50. Tickets for the May 15 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday.
