Five cats and a dog await for new homes from Everett Animal Shelter

These 5 cats and 1 dog are looking for good homes.

The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.

All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now. Here is the previous post featuring animals up for adoption.

If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.

Sylvie arrived at the shelter in rough shape. It sounds like she had been wandering around a neighborhood for a month or two. She has a skin infection that is being treated and is very thin but she is recovering nicely. Sylvie will need a meet and greet with any resident dogs and we are not sure how she will do with cats. Her next family will need to be financially secure as she does need her heart monitored and will need regular professional grooming. (Curt Story / Everett Animal Shelter)

Milo is a very active rat terrier! He has lived with another dog and done well and is reported to tolerate cats after proper introduction. Milo also has lived with children but is protective of his food and sleeping space — including the couch. Any children in the home should be over the age of 10 years and respectful of bossy dogs.
