Jumper is a quiet gal who is looking for a home to call her own. She has had a rough time lately, her owner passed away and now she is looking for a new home. After she settles into her new routine she can be very cuddly. She will need someone who will let her settle in at her own pace, with plenty of toys and hiding areas around the home to help her adjust. (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
These 5 cats and 1 dog are looking for good homes.
The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.
Larry is a cute little tabby looking for a new forever home. He might be a bit old but he’s a real sweetheart. We don’t know how he is around dogs or children, so a slow, careful introduction would be needed. (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
Leon is a beautiful boy looking for a forever home. He’s affectionate and will cuddle up with you given the chance. We don’t know how he is with dogs or children, so a slow, careful introduction would be needed. (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
Mary is a little tabby looking for a new home. She may seem shy at first, but if you give her a chance she’ll open up to you. She will need a quiet home with a patient family willing to give her the space and time she needs. We don’t know how she is around dogs or children, so a slow, careful introduction would be needed. Orson is a pretty, orange, shorthair looking for a new family. He’s a mellow guy who would like a calm home. We don’t know how he is around dogs or small children, so a slow, careful introduction would be needed. (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
Milo is a very active rat terrier! He has lived with another dog and done well and is reported to tolerate cats after proper introduction. Milo also has lived with children but is protective of his food and sleeping space — including the couch. Any children in the home should be over the age of 10 years and respectful of bossy dogs. Please read Milo’s complete profile prior to adoption, as this guy is a true terrier and lives up to all the breed traits! Milo has tried apartment living and it wasn’t for him. Sylvie arrived at the shelter in rough shape. It sounds like she had been wandering around a neighborhood for a month or two. She has a skin infection that is being treated and is very thin but she is recovering nicely. Sylvie will need a meet and greet with any resident dogs and we are not sure how she will do with cats. Her next family will need to be financially secure as she does need her heart monitored and will need regular professional grooming. (Curt Story / Everett Animal Shelter)
