It’s summer and that means it’s time to hit the water.
If you’re headed for tidal areas, how will you know where to put your beach blanket or where your boat will stay afloat?
Is that tide coming in or going out?
Don’t worry, tideApp 3.0, a free software application from Atlantis Technology, has you covered with easy-to-read tide information delivered directly to your iPhone or, coming soon, BlackBerry.
This simple, at-a-glance app gives you the high and low tides of the day for more than 4,300 ports worldwide, plus a handy chart that shows you the ebbs and flows to come.
TideApp autoloads your home port of choice and can save your other favorites, too.
Tide forecasts, which include rising and setting times for the moon and sun, are available for any day and port, ideal for trip planning, all the way into 2029.
We only wish the free app had a feature to search for the lowest upcoming tides for optimum low-tide wildlife viewing.
Maybe we’ll get that in 4.0?
