Mismatched teacups and saucers can be turned into charming table decorations for a little girl’s birthday or tea party. The girls could even create their own to take home.
Supplies:
Variety of teacups and saucers (check thrift stores)
Florist oasis cut to fit into the bottom of each cup
Water tubes for fresh tiny flowers (available at crafts stores)
Black marker
Green moss
Miniatures such as tiny flowerpots, paper parasols
Toothpicks and paper banners cut from decorative paper
Tiny clothes pins
Small fresh flowers
Tape
What to do:
1. Fit wet oasis into the bottom of each teacup.
2. Fill plastic water tubes with small fresh flowers and insert tube into the oasis.
3. Cover oasis with green moss hiding the water tubes with the moss.
4. Create a paper nametag “banner” using a strip of decorative paper with the guests’ names written on each banner with the black marker. Attach banner to toothpicks using miniature clothespins and perhaps a bit of tape for extra support. Insert toothpicks into oasis.
5. Design a miniature scene on top of the moss.
