How to get the best seats for Jonas Brothers

The first 20 rows of seats for the Jonas Brothers Feb. 5 show in Everett will be available only to those who purchase tickets from the Comcast Arena at the Everett Events Center box office.

Lottery numbers will be distributed at Comcast Arena, 2000 Hewitt Ave., beginning at 7:30 a.m. You must be 16 years or older to get a lottery number.

At 9 a.m., a number will be drawn, and the person holding that number gets first crack at tickets. For example, if No. 120 is drawn, then the person with that number will be first in line, followed by 121, 122, and so on.

After the last number in the sequence, the line will continue with ticket No. 1, then 2, 3, and 4, on through 119.

The tickets are $49.50 and can be purchased with cash or most credit cards. There is a four ticket limit per person.

The decision to sell the best seats through a lottery was made by promoters Live Nation and the Jonas Brothers, according to the eldest brother, Kevin Jonas.

“We had such a problem with the ticket brokers on the last tour with Miley (Cyrus, aka Hannah Montana),” Jonas said during a phone interview on Thursday. “…It allows us to have our true die hard fans up front, and that makes us so excited.”

Now, as a regular concertgoer, let me give a word of advice: Do NOT enter into the lottery without also having a back-up plan in place to get tickets. This show could sell out – or the first 20 rows could sell out – before you get to the box office.

So, sure, go line up outside the Arena, but also have a cell phone on you to call the Arena’s ticket line, 866-332-8499. Or, better still, use that cell phone to call a friend who is sitting at home, in front of a computer, and let him buy tickets online if you get a bad number.
