Name: My NapPak
What it is: A 54-inch-long and 24-inch-wide all-in-one bed for little ones, featuring a quilted pad, a miniature pillow and an attached fleece blanket. Designed by a mom who wanted an alternative to the day care-provided cot for her son’s naps, the NapPak folds up small enough to transport without much hassle. It comes in six designs.
The good: Perfect for travel because it provides a familiar comfort at bedtime, often the trickiest time of day for kids to be away from home. Plus, it’s better than a sleeping bag, thanks to the built-in pillow and ease of entry and exit (no pesky zippers). It’s machine-washable, and it lasts beyond the toddler years. Our 4 1/2-year-old tester is, like, sooo over the whole nap thing, but she loves the NapPak for overnights, even in her own home.
The bad: If your child moves around a lot in her sleep, she won’t stay under the fleece blanket, or on the NapPak at all, for that matter.
Cost: $55
