EVERETT — The Schack Art Center is showing its first exhibit of 2025 later this month: “Four Decades of Friendship: John Ebner & John Ringen.”

The exhibit, opening Thursday, highlights the works of Camano Island watercolorists Ebner and Ringen.

Ebner specializes in nature landscapes, portraying the island’s mountains and hidden coves. Ringen’s renderings are abstract and energetic. The two styles combined tell a story of the pair’s 40-year friendship.

“This collection represents the dedication, skill and vision only attained through a lifetime immersed in the craft,” the exhibit description reads.

The Schack Art Center is admission-free, and the exhibit will be on display through Feb. 9. The center is hosting an artist reception 5-8 p.m. Thursday where attendees can meet Ebner and Ringen. Teen Night at Schack and the Art Walk in Downtown Everett are also happening Thursday evening.
