50 years ago (1962)
Members of the Everett Junior College “friends of music” group, the Collegium Musicum, had formed a quintet consisting of Marilyn Bailey, piano; Edward Raymond, oboe; Linda Bailey, French horn; Marilyn Johnston, bassoon; and Joan Gidos, clarinet. James B. Albert, EJC instrumental music instructor, was the director.
R.L. Wood, Sixth and Speedway in Mukilteo was named distributor for the state for Gad-About, a compact motor scooter. Also he had been selected for sales and service for the entire state for Alligator tractors. Wood also handled battery operated lawnmowers and aluminum fiberglass boats, as well as boat trailers.
25 years ago (1987)
Phil Estep of Everett had been appointed vice president of finance/administration for Bayline Marine Corp. Formerly with American Express, Estep, filled the position left by Don Saunders, now executive vice president of US Marine.
Realty Brokerage, Inc. had become an All Point Relocation Service representative in Everett. The service, headed by owner Ronald E. Thompson and sales manager Jerry M. Straub, would provide the company with relocation services to families moving to locations throughout the United States and Canada.
