50 years ago (1961)
Janice White showed off an attractive dollhouse that would delight the heart of any little girl. It would be for sale and on display at Miller’s corner downtown and at the north and south Everett B&M stores following that. Proceeds from the sale would be used for Everett Jaycee Wives youth activities.
The annual banquet, a smorgasbord, for the Everett Mountaineers would be held this Saturday in the Everett Yacht Club. Dr. Gene Mason was master of ceremonies and Larry Sebring was in charge of the program. For reservations and more information on the banquet Mountaineers could call Ralph Mackey.
25 years ago (1986)
Charles Yousling was the newest member of the professional team at Burnett Bros. Jewelers, Hewitt Avenue at Wetmore Avenue. Yousling had 12 years of experience in all phases of fine jewelry repair and diamond setting. His first love was creativity and his expertise was in fresh new designs.
Silo, with stores in Everett and Lynnwood, was having a holiday kickoff sale on brands such as Deluxe, Zenith, Sharp, Sanyo, Daytron, Magnavox, Whirlpool, Sunray, Mitsubishi, Sony, Frigidaire and Yamaha.
