Smashed Tomatoes will bid Everett adieu with laughs

Smashed Tomatoes Italian Restaurant, after seven years of serving Everett, is closing its doors at the Monte Cristo building, 1509 Wall St., Everett.

Though the owners say they hope to reopen in Everett eventually, they will host a farewell event at 9 p.m. Saturday with ­Northwest-based comedian Joe Fontenot. Doors open at 8 p.m. The $10 admission includes one drink.
