Snohomish historic-home tour is Sunday

Published 5:17 pm Friday, May 14, 2010

The Snohomish Historical Society’s 39th annual historic home tour will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday

If that seems earlier than usual to you, you’re right.

This year the society moved the event from September to May in honor of National Preservation Month and better weather.

Six properties, plus the historic Blackman House Museum, will be open, including a simple millworker’s home remodeled into a charming Victorian-style cottage, a Northwest-style farmhouse, a dramatically remodeled Craftsman, a colonial revival-style home, a basic homestead and a former rectory turned residence.

Tickets are $12 to $15, including maps, and are available at Joyworks, Kusler’s Pharmacy, McDaniel’s, Speckled Hen, Annie’s on First, all in Snohomish, and Calico Corners in Mill Creek.

Tickets are also available Sunday at the Waltz Building, 116 Ave. B, Snohomish.
