Tickets are on sale for Village Theatre’s Pied Piper presentation of “The Velveteen Rabbit” for two shows Dec. 13.

The classic book comes to life through a new musical version produced by Enchantment Theatre Co. using puppets, masked actors and magic. With a backdrop of beautiful scenery, there is an original score by Grammy- and Tony Award-winning composer Don Sebesky and award-winning lyricist Gloria Nissenson that makes the imaginative production a delightfully new experience in family entertainment.

Based on the beloved book by Margery Williams, “The Velveteen Rabbit” tells the story of a plush toy bunny coming to life because of the transforming power of a boy’s love.

The new production will be presented at 2 and 4 p.m. Dec. 13 at Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave., Everett. Tickets are $12 to $14, available at 425-257-8600 or www.villagetheatre.org.

The show is recommended for children in grades pre-K through 5 and their families.
