Rick Steves’ Europe Through the Back Door hosts free travel classes from 10 to 11:30 a.m. (unless otherwise noted) most Saturdays at the Edmonds Theater, 415 Main St., Edmonds.

  • Istanbul: Where East Meets West with Mary Ann Cameron, 6 to 7 p.m. Jan. 8.

  • Croatia and Slovenia with Cameron Hewitt, Jan. 10.

  • Amsterdam, Bruges and Brussels with Gene Openshaw, 6 to 7 p.m. Jan. 15.

  • Test Drive a Tour Guide with Rick Steves and his top tour guides, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 17. You must pick your classes (15 offered during the day) and register for this one.

  • Berlin, Prague and Vienna with Margaret Hemmen, Jan. 24.

  • Travel with Children with Debbie Dubrow, 12 to 1 :30 p.m. Jan. 24.
