Weekend reading: The Killers, Oasis, Jenny Lewis

It seems like Oasis is staging a bit of a comeback.

The buzz behind the Brits new album, “Dig Out Your Soul,” has been stronger than one might expect for the group, and frontman Noel Gallagher became the YouTube du jour last week after he was attacked during a show. (It comes at the 1:30 mark. The band finished the set, incidentally.)

Anyway, Gallagher did a “Dear Superstar” interview thing with Blender. The regular feature finds fans from all over the place writing in with questions.

Below, find that article, as well as plenty more.

  • Killers frontman Brandon Flowers talked with Rolling Stone about his group’s new disc, set for release Nov. 25, which he tells the magazine has “a few sax solos” and fake steel drums. OK!
  • In a fairly amusing Blender piece, a fan from Connecticut tells Noel Gallagher his new album title, “Dig Out Your Soul,” doesn’t make sense, and Gallagher says actually it does make sense, but he wouldn’t expect Americans to get it.
  • Jenny Lewis talks about her new album with the Chicago Tribune.
  • The Cool Kids grew up with hip-hop, we’re told by the New York Times. (You may have to register with the site to access this article.)
