ARLINGTON — Arlington is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the City Council.
The seat became vacant after Arlington City Council member Mike Hopson died April 19.
Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on May 18. The council is to review applications beginning May 23 and interview candidates June 6-10. Under state law, the council has till July 18 to fill the seat.
Council meetings are held in person at 7 p.m. Mondays. To be considered for the position, applicants must be registered to vote and have resided in the city for at least one year.
