JUNEAU, Alaska — Juneau police say a black bear wandered off after being hit by two vehicles in the Mendenhall Valley.
Lt. Dave Campbell said the incident happened early Thursday afternoon between Industrial Boulevard and Engineer’s Cutoff.
KINY reported the bear went into the woods after being struck. Campbell did not know how injured the animal was.
Campbell said the matter was turned over to Alaska Wildlife Troopers, since it involved an injured wild animal.
