CAMANO ISLAND — A Camano Island man died after a crash Tuesday in Skagit County, authorities said.

Just after 8:15 p.m., Paul Hopkins, 65, was driving a Jaguar XJ6 west on Bow Hill Road approaching Highway 11, according to the Washington State Patrol. At the same time, a 16-year-old from Bow drove a Subaru Outback north on Highway 11.

Hopkins failed to yield for the teen, according to state patrol. The Subaru hit the Jaguar.

Hopkins was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he later died, police said. The teen Subaru driver and his 8-year-old passenger weren’t injured in the crash.
